  • That's just how Skyrim is, though there is a mod that will sometimes fix it, go to skyrimnexus.com and search 4GB and there should be a mod that allows the game to use 4GB instead of 2GB so doesn't crash as much.

I have an Alienware with all recommended settings and it crashes for me to, I know your pain.

  • There is a third-party fix that got around the current 2GB limit by modifying the TESV.EXE file and it worked well until about a week ago. HOWEVER, whether you bought the game through a retail store or though Steam, Steam now checks the executable before launching, and if it has been modified, the game won't start. I was having a happy life, playing Skyrim for hours on end with no crashes, then Steam stuck its big nose where it doesn't belong. Sad days.

  • Did u install the 1.2 update? If so, it might be wise to re-install and not use this update. It is notoriously flawed and adds more bugs than it corrects.

Otherwise u can enable the large address aware fix.

    First go to this site:

    http://www.ntcore.com/exsuite.php

and download the CFF Explorer Suite (it's free)

Install it and restart your computer.

Then locate your TESV.exe file which is located in your Skyrim install folder.

Right click on TESV.exe and choose "Open with CFF Explorer".

Then in CFF Explorer click "File Header"

On the right u will see a blue box labelled "Click here". Click on it.

A popup with various options will appear. Tick the box next to "App can handle >2Gb address space".

Click "ok" to close the popup.

Then click the floppy disk icon at the top and choose "yes" when the "Overwrite original file?" prompt appears.

U can then close CFF Explorer.

This will allow the Skyrim executable to access more RAM and this often helps with lagging.

  • There will be a patch to fix that my friend, in the meanwhile try to update your drivers and run it as administrator with windows 7 or vista service pack 2 compatibility, if it keeps crashing then you will just need to wait for the patch.

  • got here upon your situation. The final replace grew to become right into a fluke. It makes it crash each and every of the time and makes it glitch out. Uninstall it and don't acquire the final replace. this is going to artwork purely large! :)

  • The best and easiest way to fix this problem is to take and pay attention while in an English class.
