Do I have photosensitive epilepsy?
Okay, so ever since a young age, I have been avoiding flashing lights as they give me a kind of odd sensation and gives me an urge to shiver. I've only just read on Wikipedia that if you get an odd sensation, it's usually a warning sign that you could get a seizure or something??
I'm 15 years old at the moment, almost 16, and I've never had a seizure. Is it possible that I could have photosensitive epilepsy? Nobody in my family has it.

I have Drop Seizures that are triggered by certain types of lights/lighting
They progressed to Drop Seizures... it used to be loosely referred to as "a staring disorder" because when it got triggered, my mind would go blank & I would stare... If someone waived their hand in front of me, I knew in my mind it was there, but I could not react for short period of time
I have a friend who has "marching seizures"... just to give an idea of some of the wacky seizure disorders
I have never had convulsive seizures
Strobe Lights are the worst for me
FlashBulbs on cameras are also common triggers for me
Flourescent lights (like those commonly found in stores & offices) sometimes affect me & sometimes don't... apparently I am more prone to problems sometimes & not so much other times
I wouldn't recommend going by what you read on Wiki.... I would suggest you speak with a doctor about these concerns. A doctor can do an EEG & with that find out if you are prone to any kind of seizure activity
Photo Epilepsy
No. That's not photosensitive epilepsy. If you had epilepsy, regardless of kind, you would of had some kind of seizures.
You can have photosensitivity without having epilepsy.
