How to convince my mum to let me go to a gay pride parade?

Hey! I'm 14 and I really want to go to the gay pride parade being held in Edinburgh but the problem is that my mum isent really for it and I live over 30 miles away in fife (another regond)

I would eather have to get my mum to drive me which she won't be keen on or get the train which she will hate, no busses that I know of go that far sadly.

Ivs talked to her about it before and her main consern was that it might have more erm..mature..? Things in it like you see in some movies, ivs done alot of looking into it and ivs looked a videos from last years, the closestst "indesent" thing was a guy with no shirt on and fairy wings on instead (the dude looked epic by the way!)

I might have to go myself as alow I'm mates with three over bi's, one girl who goes from les to bi and aquanted with a older gay boy I have a feeling none of them would go, maybe only two...? I'm tempted to ask my dad to just drop me of since he lives there all ready but we have more or less disowned each over :/

So with my (hugely epic) rechertch do you think I can convince my mum to let me go?

  • How about you be a teenager and be rebellious. Find a really good friend to go with you. Take the train by yourselves and have an adventure.. dont tell your mum!

  • I propose you come out to them. i comprehend this is nerve wracking, yet such as you suggested in the question, they're one hundred% professional gay rights and comedian tale approximately it. (a million) it would cause them to very pleased with you and that they might see how mature you have gotten. (2) Use your "popping out" as bonus factors and then ask in case you will possibly desire to pass to the parade. the probabilities of them announcing sure when you come out would be a lot greater beneficial than till now.

  • Plenty of time to do it when you are older mate... let it go for now.

  • Leave her alone. If she says no it doesn't mean keep asking her until she breaks.
