94 honda civic ex performance upgrades?

I know I ask a lot of related questions to this subject and I am gaining my knowledge. now I just want to know what stage camshafts would I install in my d16z6 stock engine? what would it do for me or would I be better off porting my block and upgrading pistons and shafts? getting a performance intake manifold or what? I know all this is pricey and it should be done by a professional mechanic preferably a Honda performance specialist, I know. but ill never learn unless I ask and there are no Honda tuner specialist in my area unless they are tweekers looking to scam or screw me over! or just plain don't know a thing but act like they have done it all their lives but yeah ok! now what route should I go with this stock engine? I already have CAI and exaust system.

  • Stage 1 camshafts for better exceleration..... Is this car gonna be completely tricked out for racing? If so, there is a lot you can do if the funds is not an issue. (turbo or supercharger, cam gears, cam shafts, crank shafts, performance pistons, titanium valvetrain, port & polish the head & maybe even add a little nitrous. Strip out any parts you don't need to lighten the car. I been with Hondas for a long time. And I have seen d16z6 motors with more then 210HP.

  • I doubt you'll be able to have to tune the eu for this kind of small mod. Your mass airflow sensor should be competent to atone for the extra airflow. Don't hope for significant features with this. You could get 5-9hp out of it. As far as cleaning, go to the auto components retailer and get some engine brite. Hose it down inside and out and rinse.
