How do I program my remote to my 1998 mercedes S 420???

I didn't have a battery for my car alarm remote control for some time so does anyone know how i'm suppose to program it???

    Let me get this this straight, do you have a separate remote for a car alarm? If so, you have to state which type of car alarm you have. It is not a Benz factory item since the factory alarm on all Benz vehicles is activated through the remote key. They do not have separate remote fobs for alarm systems.
