yes you can, some people fiddle around and position it so the contacts connect but easiest way is to buy a sim adaptor, just a bit of plastic really that you put micro sim into then it fits regular sim card phones. i got mine free in the box with my galaxy s2, but phone shops should sell them or type in google "micro sim adaptor" or words to that effect. maybe ebay or amazon.

they sell a tool (sim cutter) which can cut the regular sim card to a micro sim card. look on ebay
