Academic dismissal Appeal Documents Help?

Ok so I was academically dismissed from college, I submitted documents showing I was homeless and was having child care issues. Now I live with my fiancés aunt and ill be staying there until I find affordable housing. I submitted a letter from the aunt confirming I was staying there and I submitted it. My appeal was denied by the college because according to them I didn't have evidence showing that the situation was resolved. I plan to re-appeal but I'm not sure what evidence I need. I spoke to someone in academics and they don't understand why I was denied they say my proof should have been good enough. I have only been living with the aunt since April I'm not on the lease but my state Id is under that address. Can someone help me with what documents I should present. Thank you

  • you need something in writing from the aunt --- the aunt needs to write out that you will be living with her until you can find affordable housing, even if this means the duration of your education

meaning.. the letter needs to clarify that if you can not find affordable housing, then you will remain living with her while in school --- otherwise you have not shown the situation of your housing is more than a temporary measure

you also need to show that you can afford to pay for affordable housing... with a job that you have held for a while... otherwise, how are you going to pay for housing & not risk facing new instabilities in your living situation

you also need proof of child care & proof of your back-up plan if child care fails -- for example if your kid is in day care, then who keeps the kid when the kid is sick & you need to be in school

the harsh reality is that you will probably have to work, secure the affordable housing & child care... and be settled in those situations for at least 6 months to actually prove stability
