is canada safe for young girls? are there human traffickers or any such threats over there? i know these kinds of issues are prevalent in almost all countries but i just wanted to know to what extent are these prevalent in canada.
Uh, yeah, it's safe. I'm a young girl, and I haven't been kidnapped or assaulted... yet
Human traffickers? Not that I know of. Oh! Recently, there's this guy in Vancouver who is now the first Canadian found guilty of human trafficking charges because they were abusing their nanny. Whoo, making history here. Not sure if that's the "human trafficking" you're thinking off, but there's nothing wide scale.
All in all, I don't think those kinds of security problems are prevalent. What you should be worried about is petty crime - thieves, cons, etc...

"Canada's overall police-reported crime rate dropped six per cent in 2011 from the previous year, reflecting the lowest crime figures recorded since 1972. Statistics compiled by the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics (CCJS) and released Tuesday by Statistics Canada showed that the crime rate in 2011 was at its lowest level in 39 years. The decline continues a downward trend that began in the 1990s"

Canada is one of the safest countries in the world. In the community I live in, many homes don't even have locks on the doors; we don't need them.

Canada isn't overly third world.

Canada's ranked as being the 4th safest nation on Earth:
Link - http://skeptikai.com/2012/06/19/top-10-safest-and-...
And there were a total of 194 countries in the world last time I checked.
So whatever problems exist elsewhere, Canada has less than nearly everywhere else.
Is Canada a safe place ?
Compared to where ? Pakistan, or India ? Compared to those places, Canada is heaven.
Seriously, do some google searches about " safety of women in Canada "., and see what comes up.
