Triple A Specialty Co Stick Welder?
I saw a 110v stick welder at a shop today. It is yellow, and the case has "Triple A Specialty Co Arc 700" written on it. Made in Italy. It has a setting gauge that goes up to 3/16". Does anyone know if this is total junk, or were they a good welder? The guy wants $85 for it. Any info would be great. Thanks!

It probably will weld small stuff but the important item of information is it's duty cycle. That means how much time can you use it for welding vs it's off time to cool. Generally, these welders cannot weld very long. If the duty cycle isn't printed on the unit or in the documentation, then it would be best to pass on buying it. That is probably why it is being sold.
