Camera for jewelry pictures?
Im looking to buy a camera to get started on an online business. I am looking to take up close detailed pictures of jewelry. Im considering the Canon EOS Rebel XS, and possibly purchasing a macro lens? Does anyone know if this would be a good purchasefor photographing jewelry? Would I be able to produce picstures like this one:

Youtube has a lot of video tutorials on photographing jewelry. I believe the Rebel would do fine, but the lighting will be the key to making the product look good.
Yes, the Rebel XS and a macro lens should do well for you. The ring you show looks like it is sitting on a light table to me. I have a similar photo (although not as good) on-line:
