Comments
photo one drop your hands down a little lower open your shoulders and your feet are just a tad to far in the stirrup and you look a little tense relax a little and roll your hips a little more forward and have a nice tall back
photo two your looking down eyes up!! always remember id like to see you not so far off the saddle just a few inches and have your torso just folded over the horse it looks like your laying too far on your horses neck nice lower leg in this picture right at the girth with your heels down
your lower leg slipped back causing you to look unbalanced and too far forward keep your heel at the girth and in the photo and have your butt a little farther back in the saddle also crest and release give your horse his head and relax you can tell your tense
photo four from the picture i cannot see past your upper body but again do not rise so far up in the saddle and this photo looks like you are using your crest and release just remember let the horse bring you up and forward out of the saddle
photo four you have a very nice body position just pick your hands up a little more and have your toes just a little farther behind
photo 5 your knuckles are facing up on your hands have your thumbs be facing up open your shoulders and sit a little taller other than that nice
photo six you have puppy paw hands again and your feet are way too far in the stirrups and it also looks like your saddle is a little to small for you or you are sitting a little too far back in it, you should be able to comfortably fit you hand or four fingers between the very back of the saddle and your butt its hard to tell from just a photo
I am not a riding instructor, so take these comments with a grain of salt.
Photo 1- drop your hands an inch or two so your wrist straightens and you have a straight line from elbow to bit.
Photo 3- looks like you are way forward out of the saddle for such a small jump. I'd like to see your butt back a little bit with your legs more under you instead of trailing behind.
It looks like your toes are really rotated to the outside. Are you using your heels, or is it possible to have your toes facing a bit more forward? That is being picky, and if you are like me you may have some "conformational challenges" (I am knock kneed and do much better with a little knee roll than in a super close contact saddle).
This is just what an uneducated eye sees, but then again, I am not a judge. : )
Add: Just saw the last photo. Both wrist and toe are look much better here.
You actually look pretty good(:. Lower your hands and arch your back a little more..keep your Butt under you at the same time your legs and feet seem very far back. Expecially at the jump. To use your legs to go into a two point this will cause your legs to fly back. Use your thighs and core muscles(:
1- Drop your hands and sit up. If the horse pulls sit back. Try thinking stay tall, it gives you more control and looks better.
2.Try arching your back a little bit.
3. Look up, even though it can be hard to at first, and arch your back.
4. Looks good
5. Hands down, sit up.
6. Same as 5 :P
Good riding though, and beautiful horse!
you barely need to fold at all for jumps this size - you are unbalancing yourself and the pony . shifting your weight onto his shoulders is hindering his forehand. also if he were to stop you are more likely to come off
you can remain in light seat without tipping forward it requires strengthening of your core muscles - hold in your stomach muscles , open your ribcage and look up and ahead. - try not to swing your lower leg back
exciting spin on the selective colouring, yet actually something is somewhat blah, form of flat finding, in case you have been going for dark it is going to have been darker if not then there could be lighter and with greater assessment to it.
I'm not a riding instructor, but these are the things that I noticed ..
When you are jumping, it looks like you are bringing your hands towards you. Try and out them farther up your horses neck. Also, remember to keep your toes down
You're very VERY tense and you balance on your hands and his mouth.
