Does USPS deliver packages today?

I've been waiting eagerly to play skyward sword for the wii, but I decided to wait till my component cables came in. I've been tracking the package online and it says the estimated day it will be delivered will be today. It's also at my town's post office. I read that USPS was closed on January 2nd 2012 though. Does this apply to them delivering or just the offices being closed?
