Explicating a poem?
Can someone please help me explicate a poem called'Thinking About Pound on Shattuck Avenue' by Tom Clark? Thank you!!
Update:pitched much too low for dogs to hear, the melody of the death of culture. Th epoets are dead. Ezra floated home on a boat of flowers just in time.

We had an acronym "MiSSLe"
M - musical device (rhyme scheme/meter)
S - structure (form/movement, pauses)
S - situation (tone/emotion, voice)
L - language (word use, simile/metaphor use, etc).
now look at the poem again, try to find similarities using the above groupings!
I can't help without reading the text, but if its the word 'explicate' you're confused by - they just want you to explain it. Think about the tone of the poem...imagery...characters...the conflict or problem....what's going on? What's your interpretation?
