VHS to Camera to DVD?

So I on a tutorial that I can transfer a VHS movie to a DVD using a camcorder () and am confused as to how to do this and Im not getting it right.

I know I need a VHS recorder and I have a panasonic sa-ht830v, I also have a Samsunge h204 camcorder.

I really just want to get my VHS to a digital format and really would like to do this at home without buying any new cables. I have a component/AV cable and whole lot of USB cables....Please help.......

    get a composite usb dongle this accepts video and sound input price of around 50 dollars you can press play on the camera and press record on the computer once set up , easy then to convert to dvd format.
