COMPUTER HELP/ Ram/ Graphics card etc?

hello, basically i want to make my computer more built for gaming and i thing the problem is my ram im running a dd3r on with 64 bit and only have 3.45 gb of ram usable. any ways i have a hp 15 notebook pc and the model numebr is 15-g019wm. im running on an amd radeon graphics card and i think processor ( then again still learning) anyways are there any specific types of ram that go good with my computer im thinking about going up to about 8 gb because thats most modern gaming. so what do you think?

  • i think you're trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear [so to speak] and it isn't going to work at all.

    notebooks are not gaming machines. more ram won't make it run games much, if any, better and the rest of it probably can't be upgraded at all.

    try this instead -- at www.net-7.org, look to see if you might like their game -- Earth and Beyond Emulator. it was designed 15 years ago and will run on just about any PC with Windows. It is also free. [donations accepted to cover server costs].

  • Sorry, there is absolutely nothing you can do to improve gaming on a non gaming laptop. Your laptop was made for basic office work, spreadsheets, browsing the web. You cannot upgrade the video card or CPU on laptops, which is what you need (Both).

    You need a new laptop that has dedicated graphics. Expect to spend at a minimum $500, but closer to $1000 for a decent gaming laptop.
