  • Generally people who are allergic to dogs know they are. Their eyes water and they sneeze and wheeze in close proximity. Individuals who have always had dogs in the house usually don't have a problem.

You could have a simple blood test performed, a RAST to dogs, to settle the matter.COPD suggests you may smoke. If you do this is likely to be the largest single component in your airways disease.

  • Asthma is an allergy and is triggered by something. The best non medication treatment for asthma is learning your triggers and avoiding them. Common triggers are smoke, dust, mold, mildew, plants, dust mites, pets and grass/weeds.

If you can not figure our your triggers, you may need to see an allergist and have allergy screening done. This may point out your triggers.

The National Asthma Prevention Program and the Expert Panel of Diagnosis and Management of Asthma both agree if you have to use a prescription inhaler such as albuterol more then two time per week, your asthma is NOT in control and you will need a prescription controller medication.

Controller medications are steroids (Asthmacort Asthmanex, Flovent, Pulmocort), Leukotriene modifier (Singulair, Aculade, Zyflo) or mast cell stabilizers (Cromolyn sodium, Intal, Tilade).

You may want to talk to your doctor about several strong controller medications and maybe Xolair shots.

If you want a proven, all-natural way to cure your asthma, without having to pay for useless medications with harmful side-effects, then this is the most important page you'll ever read.

  • I think you should see an allergist and get some tests done. They can do a skin or blood test on you to see if you are allergic to dogs. Most people are not allergic to dogs though. They are allergic to animal fur or dander. I know how you feel as I have pet allergies and asthma also. Hope you feel better.

  • maximum allergies/hypersensitive reaction drugs will impression a baby who's greater mushy than an person. i comprehend exceptionally inhalers are truthfully through fact it quite is resembling adrenoline. do no longer enable your familiar practitioner diagnose him as ADHD through fact then he will have greater meds to take and those would reason bypass indications. a baby truthfully should not be taking meds till that is honestly mandatory. he's greater in all risk rebounding from too lots medicine. i'm an person and that i purely have 2, Zyrtec & Singulair and an inhaler purely for emergency. Please look at this internet site and attempt greater effective procedures to regulate your son's allergies particularly than on all of those drugs. he remains turning out to be and that they'll truthfully impression his progression no count number what the medical doctors say.

  • try hepa air filter units, argos do a really good selection, also use a vac with a hepa filter.Vac everyday.this usually takes a lot of the allergens away caused by your furry pets. Also, ask someone else to take them outside and give them a good brush everyday.Dogs do make asthma worse as do cats, but if you want to keep them, these few simple steps will work wonders to helping your asthma.

  • It is impossible for us to diagnose this problem with any degree of certainty. However both my Grandchildren were Asthmatic and were much better when the dog was not there. Your best bet would be to consult your GP they can test for allergies and should be able to confirm wether or not they are affecting you. Good luck.

  • Animals do make it worse. I used to live wid a dog once i got rid of him i felt so much beta. We still keep in touch thou, he is doin good for himself. He has a new well paid job n even found himself a new girlfriend.

    Good luck to dem

  • Perhaps this site can help, this is an article I found on allergies; it specialises on natural remedies & I find is a really good source of info. Please type in relevant words in search (eg asthma or allergies).

  • If one of your trigger factors is dog then yes, try removing the dogs for a while and see if you improve.

  • See an allergist and have skin testing done.
