Hi, the dock was made in Mac OS X vs 10.0. That is the first version of the Mac OS X series in which Apple shifted to Darwin unix like operating systems, so the Mac OS X series isn't related to the classic OS 9, but its actually a Unix like operating system.
Or, there's somewhat line that separates the Trash from the the remainder of the dock.... in case you carry down the Shift key and click on that line, you may drag the dock to the backside or the two area of the demonstrate. you additionally can click in this line and drag it up and right down to resize the dock.
