  • In this matter I'd get a second opinion, and know damn well Dodge charges an assload for their parts and labor costs. Try finding a cheaper mechanic in your area that has a lot of good reviews, and see if they can run a diagnostic on it.

Sadly, Dodge is notorious for selling only Mopar parts, most will tell you you cannot get an aftermarket part for Dodge.....so you need to purchase overpriced Mopar parts. I'm not really sure about the PCM board, but I would really rethink taking it to that particular Dodge dealership for repair, do some research on the internet as well for help in finding what is wrong with your car, it's best to be informed well before going into a repair shop to fix your car.

Do price comparisons on the parts you are needing, and call around to the shops in your area ( I understand people may feel the need to go to Dodge or their respective car dealership from which their car specialized, but Dodges are DODGY.....also...check for any recalls on your vehicle as well).

  • make an independent mechanic check for lose ground wire.( do not replace the ECM ,yet. may not be broken)

battery negative cable need replace any way.

get the chance and replace the positive as well.

and abracadabra!!!!!! the problem is gone.

the Dealers are having problems lately........they don't pay mechanics.......they are hiring par-time summertime break high school students and pretending the service manager gonna run the shop.( yea right)
