How to keep my Audio system cool?

This is not a problem I got, it's more outta curiosity but Maybe I'll learn something or someone will find this useful. I'm running a Kenwood 1800 watts class D amp with 2 Kicker L3 Subs and Kicker DX series 400 watts for voice. Now that's 2 amps I'm running in the back of my civic so It must get kinda warm back there. I mainly use the car to go to work n back n even so I still don't crank the system cause i just loose my hearing so maybe that's why they haven't overheated even tho my Bass amp got a fan but still I wanna be on tha safe side. Im not always gonna the luxury of pulling down the seat to get more air flow back there so I was wondering is there's like runout duck or vents for the trunk that can be used?? but hey I'll take what ever Tips available

  • Vents shouldn't be necessary. Amps these days have heat sinks built in to minimize heat build up. I have two amps in my car and during the summer it gets up to 110 degrees in Fresno and I've never had a single problem.

  • never had any problems out here in az with the amps in the trunk. even when its 115 outside

  • put the a/c on
