    Yes Tobacco is carcinogenic coz it has benzopyrene and nicotine and thay could cause irritation in cell and they could lead to mouth or lips cancer .

    Both, actually.

    The nicotine contained in cigarettes is HIGHLY addictive.

    The other things (tar, etc) are carcinogenic.

    Cigarettes -- as a whole -- are BAD news.
