I have a 1988 Chevy C2500 with a 5.7L 350. What all do I have to do to get rid of the smog pump. Also are there any concerns related to the ECM when doing this?
You simply remove the bolts holding it in place.
It's not advisable to do it though. It wont produce a noticeable increase in power, and if you have emissions inspections, you will fail.
You MAY get a check engine light soon after.
