  • soak your nails in acetone nail polish remover, it should dissolve the glue

  • That stuff is seriously hard!! Firstly, don't pick at it - you will really damage the nail underneath.

Go to a chemist and buy a really rough nail file then proceed to file the tops of your nails - I'm talking about the part that is covered in the acrylic.

This will take a long long time and there will be loads of dust, try not to breathe this in, it;s nasty stuff!!

Stop when the acrylic is quite thin.

You can either leave it as it is as it'll be less noticable when it grows out OR you can then soak your nails in nail varnish remover (but not the acetone free stuff). The acetone will soften the acrylic and after about 30mins of soaking, using a varnish remover soaked cotton wool pad, you should be able to wipe the remaining residue off your nails.

This is something that will take you a long time and your finger nails will feel pretty tender afterwards. Give them a treat by rubbing in nail oil (even olive oil) into them after.

  • That "gooey stuff" is the acrylic part of acrylic nails. The rest is just plastic. If you soak your fingers in hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol, that should make the acrylic loosen and/or melt. You can get rid of the plastic tips and acrylic by using the same soak repeatedly, about once every hour, and then picking off the parts that are loose enough.

Good luck. I know that it can be hard to get rid of it (for me, it usually takes two to three days), but if you use this soak and/or scub at your nails with a sponge in between, you can do it.

Alternatively, you can go back to the nail place and ask them to remove the nails for you. They'll do it, for a small fee.

  • Soak you nails in nail varnish remover, make sure its not acetone free.

Keep soaking and rubbing it will come off. Dont try to pick it off or you will rip off your natural nails underneath and that will be very painful.

  • Soak your nails in Acetone (most nail varnish removers are acetone based) and lightly brush your nails with a nail brush to remove the goo.

  • buy acetone, ul get it from chemists, supermarkets etc u can but a nail varnish remover with acetone in it, then soak ur nails in it. This will remove whats left.

  • take 1 bowl with boiling water and 1 bowl with cutex remover.

put the bowl of cutex remover into the bowl with the hot water. when the cutex remover is hot, soak your nails in it. it wil take a while, but it will come off. the "gooey" stuff will desolve in the warm cutex remover. hope this was helpfull.

  • Get some acetone soak fingers in should eat glue and come off easy.

  • Soak your fingers in acetone. It will take a hour or so to make it go soft but it's the only thing that will work.

  • not sure bwt removing gooey stuff but to remove all acrilic nail and tip.

First file then to make t hem all rough

soak them in nail varnish remover that has acetone in

Keep repeating and they should soften and then dissolve!

    Good luck!
