It all depends if you have on-board video (as in not an extra card) then you need to find a video card that would go into the slots you have available ie. pci express x16 or if its an older motherboard then agp. After you figure out those things then you can go out purchase the corresponding card that fits into the slot. Its really quite simple if you don't have on board then you must remove the old video card with pci express x16 you would need to either push the tab to the side after removing the screws holding it to the case or there might be a press down clip then simply (if no power cords are connected to it) remove the card in an upward fashion. If its agp then take out the screw and pull it up and out.

its basically just unplugging the old and and plugging the new one in CORRECTLY
