How do I remove Ubuntu from an Ubuntu/Vista dual boot?
I need to remove Ubuntu from my computer and keep Vista.
The problem is, Vista came pre-installed for me, so I don't have a Vista installation disk. What can I do?
Just a thought;
could i maybe back up windows onto a DVD
then use that to over-write all of the ubuntu data?

No you really can't back up windows (and still get it to run correctly)
I do assume your Ubuntu is installed a separate Partion/hard drive. If so, thats good, just reformat that Partition (NOT THE ONE WITH VISTA).
The bad thing is you well need to restore the Vista boot loader. After you uninstall Ubuntu you won't beable to boot into Vista. Until you restore the boot loader, search the internet for this first.
i haven't any empirical suggestions besides the shown fact that I did have my Gateway pc twin booting Vista and Ubuntu7.10. i did no longer hit upon a performance replace in the two OS as a effect of the twin boot configuration. One downside I did have with Ubuntu was the CPU scaling. I even have an Athlon x64 twin center and the proper I knew the energy utilization or scaling in Ubuntu mandatory to be manually set after booting. until eventually I figured this out Ubuntu was incredibly sluggish and laggy. could no longer be certain a technique to make the scaling settings automatic after rebooting.
Get yourself this program. This will allow you to rewrite the boot record. Once that is done reboot and it should load Vista automatically. If it does then go ahead and remove the Ubuntu partition.

If you just remove Ubuntu, it leaves the Grub which will not allow you to boot into Vista.
If you have a Gateway or Emachines you can do a complete system restore back to the way the computer was when you first got it. I'm not sure if other computers come with this.
Or you can always go the illegal route and download an illegal copy of Vista from www.isohunt.com and burn it to a disk using an illegal iso burner(or you can use the free InfraRecorder).
You mean remove vista right? navigate to the vista drive in ubuntu. and then type:
sudo rm *
