  • You'll use a proportion to solve this. You take the old amount of sugar (0.5) and put it over the old amount of flower (2). Now, fill in the other side of the equation with the new amount of sugar (unknown, x) to the new amount of flower (1.5), so it should look like this:

    0.5/2 = x/1.5

    Now multiply 0.5 by 1.5 and 2 by x (the means by the extremes. If you don't know what that is, ask your teacher--it's pretty simple) and set them equal to each other:

    0.75 = 2x

    Now solve the equation:

    x = 0.375 cups sugar

  • 3/8

    you are using 75%(3/4) of the required flour. so you need 75%(3/4) of the required sugar. (3/4)*(1/2)=3/8

  • the tax is 6% and the most suitable fee of the e book is 8.40 3 so what you're searching for is the unique fee. 8.40 3 is 100% of the fee so subtract 6% from 8.40 3 so 8.40 3 * 0.ninety 4 = 7.ninety 4 is the unique fee before tax it is the splendid answer only attempt it in opposite 7.ninety 4 * a million.06 = 8.40 3

  • use cross-multiplication.

    he will need 0.375 cups of flour.

    2 cups flour / 0.5 cups sugar = 1.5 cups flour / x cups sugar

    (2 cups flour)(x cups sugar) = (1.5 cups flour)(0.5 cups sugar)

    x cups sugar = 0.375 cups

  • 1/4 cup? Idk I suck at math lol
