Canon EOS 550D VS Canon EOS 7D VS a Camcorder?

i have a question which is better interms of making videos?

i want to get the canon because its great video and can take good pics while i dont mind getting a camcorder in the smae price range (1000$)

so i just need to know which should i get eos 55 or eos 7? price is not a problem

or if u dont like any of them tell me a camcorder in the same price range thanks :D

    a DSLRs main purpose is not to take videos, so if you want video, get something dedicated to video, some camcorders also let you take pictures too.
