Be patient on this matter. First off he will have to apply in his home country, ie a Canadian citizen most likely will not have a credit file in the US and vice versa.
Also why lease? It might be more simple to just buy a car.

I'm not sure if there is any special arrangements due to crossing the border but the dealer should b able to qualify your dad and get the contract signed using fax, email and phone calls.
you do no longer choose to co sign something for somebody you're no longer married to. just to many ramifications legally in case you chop up up. I additionally would not co sign married to somebody. each keep your person automobile through fact A. it somewhat is not any longer good to pile that debt on the two peoples credit in case you prefer to purchase something down the line and B. in case you chop up you may the two sell the vehicle or refinance it in one call. in case you may no longer finance as quickly as without a co-signer opportunities are high you will no longer have the ability to a 2nd time. in case you choose a co-signer, use a kinfolk member. Relationships are purely too rocky now a days for that style of dedication.
They will fax him papers to sign, run a credit check, and if he is approved they will fax him a contract to sign.Thats about it
