no volume control icon in system tray.?

i have very annoying problem. there is no youtube, streaming video sound . though windows media is working fine. plus there is no volume control sound in system tray.

    FOR XP: (should be similar in other OSs)

    open start menu

    open control panel

    open sounds and audio devices

    Tick the box "place volume icon in the taskbar" (under "device volume" heading)

    a million. click start up 2. click administration Panel 3. click Sounds, Speech, and Audio units 4. click replace the speaker settings 5. click position volume icon contained in the taskbar 6. click ok i anticipate it really is for Vista ;)

    Go in control panel, sounds and multimedia, somewhere in there you'll see an option to "show volume control on the taskbar".

    Just click it and apply
