How do you "Press Windows-R"?

I have a problem with a feature in one of my games and a guide I looked up to fix it said to "Press Windows-R". Due to me sucking with computers, I need to find out how to do this. Please be specific because, like I said, I suck with computers. I literally mean tell me how to do this down to the very first click.

  • Windows-R means you need to press the Windows Key (the key with the Windows logo on it between CTRL and ALT keys) and the letter R at the same time.

It is basically the shortcut key combo for the Run dialog. If using Windows XP you can also get there by clicking the Start Menu and clicking Run.

  • The letter R is the 18th letter of the English Alphabet which was codified in the 1800's. Windows are clear panes of glass made by heating silicon with other substances and pouring into molds. There are many different kinds of Windows. A keyboard is a thingee connected to your computer by Bluetooth or a wire. Bluetooth is a wireless signal protocol named after some Danish king or something. Wire is a string of metal covered by rubber or other NON conductive material. Conductive means that electrons can move thru the material and send signals and power. NON conductive means it can't do that. The keyboard is recognizable by having letters (aforementioned) and numbers and pictures. The pictures are called ICONS after Iconography which was initially used to portray religious figures like Jesus and the saints etc. One of the Icons on the left looks like a 4 pane window. 4 panes means there are 4 flat glass thingees in it, 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. It is normally the key to the right of the Control (CTRL) key which is another useful key. If you highlight text and hit CTRL-C, you copy it to computer memory. You must press the CTRL key and the C key at around the same time, both must be depressed. By depressed, I mean you pressed both of them, not that they are sad or anything. So if you depress the Windows key and the R key, it solves your problem. I hope I was specific enough, I tried my best!

  • Hold down the Windows key (in the lower left corner of the keyboard, next to the "Alt" key), and tap the letter "r". Use the Windows key the way you would use the Shift key - hold it down while you tap the desired key ("r" in this case), then release both keys.
