How do you destroy old journals?
I don't want to set them on fire, cuz I don't have to deal with the mess.
Are there any other ways to destroy old journals, or diaries?

Buy a shredder!!!!!!!
Paper shredders are about $20 at Walmart. Tear out the pages and shred them. Or just cut them up with scissors.. that's more time consuming. Either that or burry them in the trash where no one could find them.
tear out the pages and shred them and then to be "green" you could recycle the paper. another thing that works is just throwing them away, but just doing it on garbage day so that no one has time to really find them in your trash. also, you could have friends over for a bonfire, and use them as the source. (i only give that one because then you would have a way to clean up the mess...your friends)
I'd recommend keeping them - you wrote those things for a reason. Just lock them away if you can. If you absolutely HAVE to destroy them then my first choice would be burining, my second choice would be a bleach bath and my last choice would be ripping them apart and stuffing them in different trash recipticals around your town.

Try trowing it away or ripping all the pages up or cut them up.
soak them in water and bury them in a compost heap. alternatively, tear them up/shred them and put them in a gerbil cage (preferably with a gerbil).
