Does America have any "returnist" parties?

Essentially an organized people that want to rejoin the UK. Its a big happy club here in the commonwealth... I know in Canada we have our ample (though dwindling) supply of separatists, does the opposite exist in the us of a?

  • No. I have been a political ghost writer for around 10 years now and during all my times of research, have never ran across any American desiring to return to pre-Revolutionary War Britain society.

Now with that said, I would say most Americans don't even think about it and quite a few really enjoy visiting the UK. My best friend, a law student, just spent last summer in England doing something with Parliament for his studies. He really enjoyed it.

  • If it did, I doubt that anyone would take them seriously. Why would you want to rejoin the Commonwealth? Mozambique was a Portuguese colony that joined the British Commonwealth, and I still don't understand why.

  • No, there are no registered "returnists" parties within the US.

The closest thing you will get are parties which may advocate the social or welfare structures that are common in western europe.
