Passport photo paper?

I'm printing my own passport photos. Does anyone know how thick of paper I need? Keep in mind I have a laser printer so I can't just go and buy kodak paper. Right now I have 58# paper. It's fairly thick but not as thick as a normal photo.

  • passport photo information: size: 2 x 2 inches. The image from bottom of chin to top of head(including hair) no less than 1 inch nor more than 1-3/8 inches. Photos can be colored or B&W, clear front view, full face and printed on thin, non-glossy photo paper with white background. Vending machine photos or video prints are not acceptble. magazine or full-length photos are not acceptable. If photos are not clear and are grainy or blurred will not be accepted.

Hope this helps u a little. They did not specify paper thickness in size. Just thin.

  • The restrictions for passports are getting tougher and tougher. Chances are you will not get the right sort of photo and it will be useless.

  • It will cost you as much in time, and effort as the $12 it cost at the post office. They have the right machines...
