how exactly does a track team at a school work?
so i was talking to my brother the other day, and he was telling me, because im VERY athletic. i mean VERY. and im not just being cocky either... he said that i might need to look at doing a track team at like a school,
but my only problem, is im homeschooled. and i thought that you needed to go to the actual school to be on their track team?
or can i just go and run for them?
also, im 16, so if this isnt true, and i can just go run for them when they want me too. should i aim for a college, or a highschool?
or just really, how does all of that work?
thanks!
Update:actually, no i dont hate fat people. but if you do, you should keep that to yourself. thats not nice.

Contact your county board of education. The rules are different in different places, some school districts do allow home schooled kids to participate in athletics, some don't.
you have to go to the school to run for them. At least that is how it works for my team. but there are some track meets for the public in my area and around me. you should look into that. or you could do "fun runs." they are usually public/community races and are usually distance races like a 5k or 10k or 1/2 marathon or marathon.
