  • THREE MOST COMMON MYTHS:

    1. The rate of hair regrowth will not change because of hair removal.

    2. Hair coverage will not change in density; your body has a set number of hair follicles.

    3. Ingrown hairs are common but not impossible to avoid; everyone has different susceptibility to ingrown hairs.

CREAMS there are side effects and people violate those warnings: Skin damage, odor, more hair growth, uneven skin & hair growth, allergic reaction. Keratin is the main protein that forms a hair strand. The result is the hair is wiped away with gentle friction. There are several chemicals based on the strength, color and coarseness of the hair. Before applying the cream, the skin type is also considered. Example from a VEET user: ."I used Veet to wax off my moustache which wasn't anything tragic,(STUPID ME) around 12 hours ago.....And for the first time I've got this reaaally bad skin irritation, I'm as red as a pepper for Gd's sake!" One girl put the cream on her nipples: "I just tried using nair for the first time and I tried putting it on my nipples because I am dumb and didnt read the directions. (and yes, I have hairy nipples. please dont make fun of me because it bothers me already). now my nipples are REALLY burning along with the rest of my skin." "I've waxed my upper lip by myself in the morning using a veet strip and peeled 3 large spots of skin and its really red and it burns !? help me plz i have skool after 2 days ! i waited 7 hours but nothing happeened ?" This may not be a good option for you if you have sensitive skin. If your skin develops severe irritation afterwards, go see a doctor!

Example from YA re: hair removal spray from Sally Hansen: "Being an idiot, I purchased the Sally Hansen hair removal spray thinking it would work. I used it last night before i showered, left it on for about 4 minutes and it didn't remove my hair. I am not concerned with the fact that it didn't remove my hair but it left my skin to be ridiculously irritated and itchy and burning with bumps allllllllll over! What can I use on my skin to calm this down and make it less painful?"

For legs, Razors using SKINTIMATE: This is my favorite, takes seconds and you're done! I've chosen the pink handle 12 in a package. Pamela Anderson's favorite, also. For females, NEVER use shaving for your facials or your arms. FOR MEN: never shave your chest. My BIL did that in college, now he's as hairy like a baboon! To prevent hair growing from your legs, wear socks always. DH does, and I'm jealous, he is hair-free!

  • So I'm not sure if you're telling me you have like random hairs or it's an extended hairline or something. Either way, you have options, and shaving shouldn't be one of them. You know how when a guy shaves his face, if he has dark hair, you an kind of tell that he shaved? yeah, you don't want that look. So if it's the space random hair you find, I get them too, you're a little younger than I was when they started but I just tweeze those. If it's more your hairline is extending you have some options here too. You can bleach. There are bleaching kits you can pick up, bleach it. Here's the thing every surface of your skin has hair on it. It's a protective barrier. So bleaching would be the first step I would take. If you're reading this going no, bleaching won't work...calm down, there are more options. Like I said it would be my first step, if you're not happy with the results...there is always waxing. SO I have jet black hair, and I have some growth on my upper lip...for YEARS, I just bleached...I'm 26 now, it ain't cuttin it. I got that precision wax I think from Veet, does the trick. It's precision so it is a small applicator, but veet is apparently a good brand for their wax products (done the leg work on reviews...and actually picking up some stuff today for other leg work...pun intended).

I would recommend you make sure you pick up products specifically for the face. The good part about waxing is because you're removing the root it lasts longer, and hair actually grows back finer...kind of wondering why we don't all just wax...Anyway, hope this helps you, know you're not alone in issues like this.

  • DO NOT SHAVE YOUR FACE! That will only make it worse and it will grow back within a few days and it will be prickly and thick. There are some creams that you can buy from the pharmacy, salons often wax facial hair and threading is another way to remove facial hair. When you are older and if this problem continues bugging you I believe that there is ways of removing facial hair using electrolysis. If this is a problem for you it may be worth looking up some of these methods.

  • There's plenty of options to use (I have the same problem :l )

1.) Just use a normal razor! Your hair won't grow back at a thicker/faster rate despite what people believe. It's just a myth! :)

2.) There are creams that work very well, my mother and I used to use some, I don't remember the brand but it worked pretty well.

3.) Use a bikini trimmer! It's similar to an electric razor, only it's gentle on the skin and very easy to operate and use. (You can buy a good one for about $10 at convenience stores)

  • You should ask a Doctor. But there are creams to make the hair cells die out. A laser session (harmless) would also help them grow thinner. And yes, don't shave!

  • ok heavily dont wurry, the wonderful technique to eliminate facial hair with is threading. attempt and detect a close-by beautician and get yur face threaded. The egyptians and persians used this methodology too. dont difficulty your not the only one im specific theres lots greater females with that difficulty too, relax and stay removed from the bleach, im sorry to assert its style of valueless plus it ruins your pores and skin!
