I was just wondering. I am with medcost and they do not which is a pain. Is it a religion thing or something? Its not fair that they will cover viagra but not oral contraception.
Most of the time the insurance companies cover what their clients want them to cover. If enough people want contraceptives covered, and are willing to pay the extra premium for that coverage, the insurance company is willing to comply. In addition, each company has dozens of different policies, and will cover contraceptives with one policy where they don't with another.
BTW - more insurance policies cover oral contraceptive than cover viagra.
