Can a gyno detect cancer?
Im twenty years and I've had abdominal pain for years and now it's starting to hurt on my pubic bone every once in a while. These are the symptoms of ovarian cancer. Can a gyno detect it or do I have to go to a specialist? How much will it costs and what type of tests will they have to do.

A Gyno should definitely be trained in recognition of ovarian/uterine cancer, but should also be able to recognize warning signs for GI cancers, etc.
Only an oncologist can diagnose cancer and/or recommend treatment.
They will start with a PAP smear and do a swab test, when they get those results IF they found abnormal cells they would do a biopsy. I have never heard that the actual pubic bone would hurt if you have ovarian cancer? Go get a PAP anyway just to ease your mind
