california natural is made by the same company that makes innova. i TRUST that company better than canidae because they seem to have higher quality.
however, california natural was made for dogs who can only tolerate a single source of protein or with food allergies. from what i read about dog food, the more variety of meat if it's good quality is better. canidae has more than 1 source of protein.
but canidae has rice. i don't think dogs need that. CN uses sweet potatoes as their grain.
i think wellness or innova are better choices for kibble personally!
I asked my vet about this Canidae stuff and he's never even heard of it and we live in a hillbilly horse town. So obviously this junk isnt any good. Just buy some regular dog food or have your vet recommend a good brand for you.

All I can tell you is, that I feed all of my dogs, Canidae All Life Stages Dry! They love it, it's healthy for them and we've had no problems with it!
