Ima be honest, I love muscles on a guy! But there's a point at which he stops being sexy and muscular and becomes scary and hulk-like... so, avoid that point
I agree that personality plays the bigger factor in a relationship, but you need to take care of yourself too. I work hard for my body; I expect my man to do the same.
In my opinion, a relationship isn't gonna be that successful if the two people involved don't find each other physically attractive.
My bf has a lot of muscle, an 8-pack, but he's a slim guy overall. He's just got like, zero fat lol! Anyway, for me, feeling super-protected is really important and there's nothing like having strong arms around you. And it's a plus when he can pick you up and carry you places haha xD
That said, every chick is different and just like all guys like different things, so do girls. I have friends who dig the lanky look and that's good for them

This is a question of visual preference. The statue of David has no personality. So what is your preference?
Personally I like to look at cute skinny guys, and men with huge muscles. Although it's difficult to discern between which I find aesthetically pleasing and what is a sexual fetish.

they prefer a muscular skinny guy over a whimpy skinny guy. a skinny guy with a six pack broad shoulder great butt and toned body is obviously more attractive to them then a skinny guy with no muscle definition
i prefer the skinny guys with hidden muscle :P like my guy friend, he's thin and i made jokes about him not being able to lift me up (i'm 140 lbs) so he followed up his argument that he could by picking up a 250 lb guy XD it's cute, because they don't look like they're going to beat the crap out of you when they get angry, but nice because you know they can protect you
for the most part it's based on personality though, my boyfriend is super skinny but i love him to pieces

For as many types of bodies there are for women there are as many men who have varied personal tastes. My BFF is slender and athletic. Never had a problem getting a boyfriend. I'm fat. Always have been. I also have never had a problem getting a boyfriend. We are both happily married to men who prefer our particular body type. Find a man who accepts you for you! Love yourself. Don't change yourself for any man. If you want to change...then change for yourself and your personal happiness.
It's so annoying when girls say personality is more important than looks. Yeah personality is important butim not going to date someone ugly
But I prefer buff guys. Skinny boys can't really protect a girl. Plus buff guys are better at sex
Edit: I hate this double standard that If a guy rejects a girl based on her looks it's ok, but the minute a girl does it she is shallow or a *****.
