If she's wearing a dress and heels, you should wear a sports jacket or blazer, a nice shirt (not a t-shirt). You can wear jeans if they are nice jeans, no holes or raggedy places or too faded-worn places. Then you both look like you are out on a date and anywhere you go will be just fine. You can even show up at McD's like that and make like it's a fancy eatery just by being so courteous and all. You'll find other people at Outback may be dressed more casually but who cares--you and your date will be just fine.

You don't have to dress up at all to go to Outback, but you can if you want to. Especially on Saturday night.
