Respect, (reverential, devout, keep at a respectful distance, keep once distance and keep aloof) no, but do give everybody the benefit of the doubt. All humans have a choice and should anybody choice to be a belong to Buddhism, Hinduism or whatever, that is their choice, be it out of ignorance or purely out of tradition. I think when you have been in a certain religion because your parents, grandparents had had been, then I think it is time to search all things and keep the good/right. So, I am aware that there is Buddhism, Hinduism etc but it does not mean that I agree with them, after all they must have made a choice at some stage. The sun will shine on all, so let them be, you just see that you give account for yourself. Enjoy your Thursday.
I may disagree with some philosophies, but I do respect different opinions for their degrees of wisdom and peaceful intent. Each one at its highest degrees has words and deeds we can be taught by. Whether or not we wish to learn is another issue. No man has all the answers only God does in His Most Perfect Form. If we have no respect for God, then as a society, we are lost.
I respect religion , but i disrespect the people who try to show someone else's religion as failing or incorrect, we all think our beliefs are correct and hate to hear people talking about it badly.
I dont like people bad-talking christianity , as i'm sure others hate their beliefs to be criticized , and i also don't like the Christians that bad-talk about other people's beliefs. Leave everyone be.
I have a friend that is Hindu and we talk about beliefs from time to time......While I don't believe the things he comes up with....I will agree to the morals that are behind each story...
I am Christian....But I think one of the holiest men on the planet is the Dali Llama...........
So I guess I have respect and an open mind...
Except for the religion of Atheism.
.I don't have to believe their way nor they don't have to believe mine...
No. Religions all make specific claims about the way the world works. Some of these claims are good (take care of the poor and the sick, be kind to animals, respect your parents). Some of these claims are awful (gay people should be killed, people who change their minds about the religion should be killed, everyone who doesn't believe in our god is going to hell, etc.). Religions take all kinds of immoral stands on various issues, and they should be judged on that basis like everything else.
I do respect everyone's RIGHT to worship as they see fit. But that doesn't mean I can't call shenanigans on the religion itself.
I respect people's rights to practice whatever religion they choose . What I don't respect are people screaming in my face that I'm going to burn in hell for not believing in their god.

I respect all religions in so far as they proclaim all other religions to be false.
