Can I use a Ram Or Caravan flasher in a Dakota?

I have a 99 Dak that I replaced the headlights with aftermarket units. Instead of 2 turn signal bulbs in the front it has one regular turn signal bulb and one LED array. Signals now flash at the really fast "a light is burned out" rate. Just noticed a Dodge Ram outside at work that has only one turn signal bulb on each side in the front. Could I try to substitute a Ram flasher that "thinks" one bulb is a good thing?

Thanks

Update:

I was thinking of a heavy duty flasher as dodge man said in his answer below but the tech manual description of the flasher says this "While the combination flasher has a International Standards Organization (ISO)-type relay terminal configuration or footprint, the internal circuitry is much different. The combination flasher does not use standard ISO-relay inputs or provide ISO-relay type outputs or functions. The combination flasher should never be substituted for an ISO-relay or replaced with an ISO-relay, or else component and vehicle damage may occur."

  • you can substitute the flasher or just change it to heavy duty flasher ,they make a heavy duty flasher that flashes at a slower rate then the normal one does,i did a neon that we had to do this on,you should be able to substitute the flasher and it should slow it down a lot, good luck.

  • you absolutely can.
