A poem perhaps, Do you read me?
While the other kids in school
were simultaneously
getting praised for reading
First Grade Primer aloud
and getting hooked on phonics,
I was strung out on C.S. Lewis
Ray Bradbury, Madeline L'Engle
and Tolkein.
Tolkein did no talking
and neither did the words,
the story was told to me in a
rapid firing of neurons
that bypassed both audial
and visual receptors,
which made Narnia entrances open
and blasted a singing ship to space...
I never came down, you know.
In an alternate reality,
I am there, a character
who is a vital part of each story ever read
for I lived these things
they were more than life which held a key
but not to dreams or phantasies
my actual experiences.
Because I believe.
Now you know who I am, I am Pippi Longstocking and Mr;Spock, I am Cathy roaming the windy moors near Wuthering Heights. I am a Cheshire cat and a Red Queen's pet. Life is Jabberwocky Revisited. Even Nancy Drew her name from the thoughts brought to life
without Phonics Anonymous telling me to shut up and read.
Update:Nonny if reading made me a genius I guess that's why they crucified me with the label 'Gifted' and then ignored when dire signs of something terribly wrong and evil being done were put off as 'eccentricity them real smart ones always start developin'
Needless to say I underachieved my potential exponentially.

I had my suspicions my friend, for I sensed from you
intelligence that few have yet many think they have
I know , I also know with that comes a reality that
yearns for just one minute one second not to be able
to see what others can not see, to live in a world
separated by design carrying a loneliness that was
never asked for yet will never leave, to find comfort
in imagination and fluid dreams, know who you are
I've known all along, there are many on this site
its what makes a poet a poet..
If I had Mr. Van Winkles time,
was Don Quixote in his prime,
poor steed under me
the Queen of Hearts wouldn't stand a chance,
but her court would dance as I reversed the blade,
then took to the shade with the Cheshire,
who is sarcasasstic in style I might say,
could sip spiked Tea and chuckle smugly,
yet after all, well after the bell struck 12,
and I left the ball minus a slipper,
I'd manage to find the yellow brick road
and briefly became a day tripper.
Would I die would I
come back as Lizzy Borden,
or Jack the Ripper?
hugs sis, comin off a induced haze
Believability carries an onus that few will give one grace on and such 1st grade primer begs a big question mark? Especially when the authors you mentioned are not exactly reading material for the age, unless you are a precocious genius waiting for words to catch up with your mind. Now tell me again Pippi, how was the first grade?
Narnia was the only reference to CS Lewis?
Who else could think a lion a witch and a wardrobe?
I like the way you described how you read Tolkien. It's like watching a movie.
no longer basic to make this no longer a cliche. A non everlasting hint of a few thing – cinnamon with sage? – became my head i attempted to capture the heady scent besides the shown fact that it replaced into long previous leaving merely the breeze. A breeze informed me as we communicate which you exist however long previous away
Nope.you went way beyond expectations and still soar higher each day.

It's so strangely awesome! My favorite line is "I never came down, you know." Something about that makes it seem eerily fulfilling. Thank you for sharing.
And you have a talent only meant for the droves of pure ingenuity.
That's amazing!!!
I know!
