My dad won't buy me a car?
Before you go off and call me a spoilt little kid, read the whole thing. I am well aware that its bad form to moan about not getting what you want.
I have asked my dad repeatedly about the car situation, because it has gotten to a point where not having one is inconvenient. I'm 17 almost 18 and a senior in high school. I want to get a job but I can't without a car because everything is so far away from my house so I can't walk or ride a bike plus my mom wouldn't let me ride a bike that far away and I can't get a car without a job. I have my permit but I'm planning on getting my license soon. I don't want to always ask my mom if I can drive her car. I've never asked for anything. My dad is planning on getting brother that's 34 a new car and he doesn't even need one. I don't see how there's any fairness in this situation. Whenever I try to tentatively talk about it he gets immediately irritated. I don't know what to do. He says he's going broke in June so I'm sure he really won't get me a car then. I don't except a new car just one to get my started so I can get a job because my mom can't drive me to work. What should I do?

I completely understand where you are coming from. I just got my license 2 weeks ago and Im 22. I never have had a car and like you I could never get a job because I lived in the boonies and my parents would never drive me to a job.
Therefore my suggestion is to be to wait until after you graduate high school. Move to a city or if you go to college. Save up your money and buy a car when you get a job. I wish I could suggest something else. Also see if there are any cheap cars on craigslist to get you started.
Im 19 now when i was 16-18 my parents didnt buy me a car i started drivers ed at november 2014 i got my license ive been practice driving my parents will get me a car soon you can ask your dad or your mom that you want to go car shopping my dad is getting me a honda civic
Who said life is fare, Obama? If you can't be trusted to ride a bike that far, obviously you can't be trusted to drive a vehicle that far. My oldest son did odd jobs and saved up enough money to buy his own vehicle when he was 17. I went with him to inspect it. He did quite well picking it out. He is now 22 and still owns it and about 5 other vehicles.
Try to save some money. This sounds like a difficult situation.
