I have a 2001 chevy silverado with the 5.3 litre it gets about 17 mpg traveling on the highway under 75 MPH... It gets about 14MPG in the city and running short distances..I also have a 2001 silverado with the 6.0 litre it gets about 20MPG traveling on highway under 75MPH..But only gets about 12 in the city...the estimated MPG ranges baisically to adjust for the national average for that type of truck
