Why do Catholic Bishops wear Yarmulkes?
So do Cardinals, Archbishops and the Pope. But what I don't understand is why priests, deacons and laymen in the Catholic Church don't have to wear them?
Update:@Pastor Art: I'm really getting tired of you fundamentalists attacking the Church when I have a simple question about its practices for the people here. Catholics are just as "Faithful" and as "Christian" as ANY Protestant or Southern Baptist, if not more, and I do not want every one of my religion's flaws forced on me when I try to ask a simple question.
Maybe what all you fundamentalists should think of first is Matthew 7:12:
"So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the Law and the prophets."
Do you want people declaring whatever your denomination of Christianity "Evil" or "Unchristian"? Then don't do it to Catholics. You can use the word of the Lord as much as you want to help destroy the Church. But remember Matthew 7:12.

It is a sign of their authority in the Church hierarchy. It is not worn for the same reason as a yarmulke. ~
All ordained clergy in the Catholic Church can wear the Zuchetto. God bless!

He isn't intended to hide his head in step with the bible considering that he then dishonors Jesus Christ who's his head. Here is what the bible says..... one million Corinthians eleven:three-four The head of each guy is Christ, the pinnacle of lady is guy, and the pinnacle of Christ is God. four A guy dishonors his head if he covers his head even as praying or prophesying. I have visible the Pope praying and preaching along with his head blanketed. He it appears does not recognize the scriptures.
So the little beanie is a kipper if it's worn by Jews, and a zucchini if it's worn by Catholics?
Those are NOT Yarmulkes.
They are skull caps, and they have NOTHING to do with Jewish headcovering.
Yet the Bible says that men should NOT cover their heads.
1 Cor 11:7
A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
