  • 5 days x 49 weeks per year = 245 days per year

    ____________________________________________________

7 hours per day x 5 days per week = 35 hours per week

35 hours per week x 49 week per year = 1715 hours per year.

  • Every employee works___day per year.

If each employee works 5 days a week and for 49 weeks per year, then you can multiply 5 days per week times 49 weeks per year to find how many days each employee works per year.

    5 days/week x 49 weeks/year = 245 days/year

As you can see, the unit weeks cancels out of the equation leaving you with the answer in days/year.

Every emplyee works _____hours per year.

If each employee works 245 days per year (as we found in the previous question) and for 7 hours per day, then you can multiply 245 days per year times 7 hours per day.

    245 days/year * 7 hours/day = 1715 hours/year

As you can see, the unit days cancels out of the equation leaving you with the answer in hours/year.

  • Do 5 x 49 which is 245 for how many days and multiply 245 x 7 which is 1715 hours

  • Days per year:

    5*49 = 245 days per year

    Hours per year:

    245 days * 7 hours per day = 1715 hours per year

  • 5 days per week times 49 weeks per year would makes 245 days per year

7 hours per day times 5 days per week times 49 weeks makes 1715 hours per year
