  • Yes. Hewlett Packards sometimes work and sometimes don't.

    Get a Epson Stylus.

You can tell by the weight of the cartridge if it's got any ink in it. - With experience.

Get a refill kit and refill it. (You can always use the ink in another printer, if you have to get another one.)

So it's no waste, because you inevitably have to refill the ink in a cartridge anyway.

Then, if the printer still sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, put the cleaning fluid (you get in a refill kit) in a cartridge, and run pages through the printer so the cleaning fluid can unblock the ink tubes.

  • Yes you can easily do this but only if you have genuine HP toner cartridge by using the printer control panel, the embedded Web server, printer software, or HP Web Jetadmin. all steps are here http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/D...

  • Open HP Director, click on Tools. I then think you click on Toolbox which will display your cartridges. Have just got rid of my old HPpsc 1355 but am sure thats how you do it.
