Paris too cliche or romantic to propose?
Well, i've booked it now! So really looking for re-assurance opposed to anyone putting a downer on the whole situation. My girlfriend has NO idea that i will be taking her, she knows im going to propose as she drops enough hints! I'm so excited, and whilst at the travel agents it didnt feel cliche at all, hotel is right next to eiffel tower so that is where i plan to do it., i genuinely think its going to be so romantic, i cant wait, just wondered others opinions as im keeping it that much of a secret, no friends or family know. Actually, you make the scene where you are romantic. So, whether you are in your country or in France, is just the beautiful scene that you're going to make up what is going to make it be romantic. If you want to do it at the tower though, do it at night! It's so beautiful all illuminated. I've not been but my ma has and the photographs are gorgeous.
just make sure you plan what time of day carefully. when i went to the eiffel tower during the day it was rammed with tourists and street sellers flogging junk. i saw it at night lit up and it looked gorgeous. if you do it after the tower is closed for the night it will be much quieter.
