Do these sentences make sense?

1. It was only by chance WHICH I found out what had happened.

2. It was only by chance THAT I found out what had happened.

3. The chemical itself isn't harmful, but it can be converted to a form WHICH is.

4. The chemical itself isn't harmful, but it can be converted to a form THAT is.

5. There is something found in classrooms that would bewilder them-computer. and it is this WHICH is completely changing way we learn at school.

6. There is something found in classrooms that would bewilder them-computer. and it is this THAT is completely changing way we learn at school.

7. There is something found in classrooms that would bewilder them-computer. and it is THAT this is completely changing way we learn at school.

  • 1 should be 'that'.

    2 and 3 are correct. 4 is incorrect. Which in 5 is correct but there is something wrong with the sentence, ('them-computer'?).

    Replace 'that' with 'which' in 6.

    7 There should be a comma not a full stop after computer. The rest of the sentence should read 'and it is this which is changing the way we learn at school'.

  • Beside the fact of putting 'which' or 'that', some of the sentences written out, are completely wrong and odd, grammatically speaking.

    I agree with the other Yahoo!Answers member 'cymry3jones'.
