How to apply mascara so it looks natural?
Ok, so alot of people tell me I should wear mascara. I kinda want to, since I don't wear any other makeup, but it never looks natural on me. I have blonde hair and blue eyes, so black looks way too harsh. I have the maybelline lash blast in black brown, but it still doesn't look right. I think it makes my lashes appear bizarrely long. I mean, they practically touch my eyebrows! Is there any mascara that won't make my lashes too long or too harsh, but instead enhance my eyes?
Update:It doesn't have to be a drugstore brand. I am willing to spulrge for a brand that will work well.

What you are looking for is a "Lash Tint" which Neutrogena has a fantastic one. It is just like mascara, except it's not thick, so it goes on your eyelashes light, like a natural look.
Here are others I have tried/recommend.

All of them are light weight and natural looking.
Also! Even just curling your eyelashes gives the effect of wearing mascara when you really arent.
You can use a lighter brown mascara for a more natural look or a clear one if you would like to be very natural and just have your eyelashes curled so that you look bright eyed.
The price of the mascara doesn't matter much, in fact, Maybelline is famous for having very good mascaras which make up artists choose over more expensive brands.
You should try a clear mascara. I'm not really sure what brand since I've never used clear, but I had a friend with the same problem and she said clear non colored mascara works wonders. Go into any Sephora store and ask a sales rep.
I tried this before but I gave up as nothing worked, I just put three strokes on my eyelashes after I have applied foundation in the morning, this is as natural as I can get, I try not to over do it anymore.
Instead of wearing mascara, buy an eyelash curler.
They sell really good Revlon ones at the drug store, or you could go to Sephora and buy a better one.

you could try a sensitive, brown mascara, and only apply a little.
